Wanda Sundermann has spent the last thirty plus years learning her craft as a birth and body worker. She has found great joy and fulfillment in serving women, their families and people in the community with her service. Wanda has been a NC licensed massage therapist since 2000. She got her training through private lessons and independent study. She likes to tell people she homeschooled herself through massage school. She has attended over six hundred births as a doula and guided hundreds more with childbirth preparation classes. Wanda has worked for nearly thirty years as a massage therapist, craniosacral practitioner, childbirth educator and doula. She co-taught the Nurturing the Mother pre and peri-natal massage workshop for ten years. She has taken numerous trainings in both bodywork and birthwork. At this stage in her life she is doing less doula work and more craniosacral therapy. Her work is a unique blend of myo-facial work and following the subtle waves of the biodynamic craniosacral system. She is always learning and deepening her understanding of the human body and how to facilitate healing. For fun Wanda enjoys daily walks to the Haw River with her dog, playing with her grandson, swimming, dancing, sewing and hanging out with her family and friends.
